Summer Fun

SummerFun – 2 0 1 0

This year the Town of Lloyd Recreation Department is offering two SummerFun Programs for five weeks, starting on Monday June 28. We will once again offer supervised activities in arts, crafts, and games and field trips at Berean Park under the direction of Program Director LouAnn Judge and a team of counselors. We also offer a Sports SummerFun Camp at Tony Williams Park that will include Week #1-Football, Week#2-Soccer, Week #3-Baseball/Softball, and Week #4-Basketball, and Week #5-All Sports. This camp will be under the direction of Program Director Alissa Morano and a team of counselors.

Who, Where and When?
Arts & Crafts – All Highland school children who have completed Kindergarten through 4th grade. Berean Park, June 28 through July 30, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, with a possible extended day on Friday for field trips.

Sports – All Highland school children who have completed 2nd grade through 7th grade. Tony Williams Park, June 28 through July 30, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, with a possible extended day on Friday for field trips.

Transportation to and from both programs is the responsibility of parents or guardians.

Children are welcome to attend all five weeks or any combination of weeks; a full week commitment is requested.

Registration: Return this form to the office of your child’s school marked, “Attention: SummerFun”, or mail to SummerFun, Town of Lloyd Recreation, 12 Church Street, Highland, NY 12528. Registration forms must be returned by June 18. Additional forms are available at the Office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 12 Church Street.

Before June 18, the PRE-REGISTRATION fee is $60.00 per child for the child’s first week, $50.00 per child for succeeding weeks; before June 18, the PRE-REGISTRATION fee for each additional child within the family is $50.00 the first week, $40.00 per child succeeding weeks. After June 18, there will be an additional registration fee of $10.00 for each child.

The registration fee includes a SummerFun T-shirt and the Friday field trip.

Berean Park - Summer Schedule

 

Berean Park will open daily for swimming on Saturday, June 19 from 12 noon to 8 PM and will close on Sunday, August 1, for the season.

Resident Season Pass:
$15.00 per name on pass
$2.00 daily charge (without season pass)

Children under 5 are free unless involved in swim lessons.

Proof of residency is required.

Swim Lessons: Registration will take place at Berean Park from 1:00 to 5:00 PM beginning Monday June 21 through Sunday June 27. Lessons will be given Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, June 28 through July 29.

The fee is $30.00 per child, $15.00 for each additional family member; this fee includes a season pass.

Water Carnival: The Annual Water Carnival will take place Saturday, July 31, 2010. Details for this event will be presented at a later date.
