3rd QUARTER 2022 UPDATE FROM SUPERVISOR PLAVCHAK

The 3rd quarter of 2022 started off with a 4th of July Celebration highlighted by an impressive Fireworks display on July 2nd at the Town Field. It was great to see the large turnout for the town event, the fireworks were excellent. Thanks to the Events committee and other volunteers who worked hard to make it possible.
Our Summer Recreation programs were in full throttle, all of our Parks look great this year. The participation in our summer rec programs was up again, we hope to continue to expand programs and increase participation in the coming years. The road construction to re-align Tillson Ave and Toc Dr started in July. The work to date has been sporadic due to contractor resource and material shortages which delayed the project start. We will see some additional progress over the next month or so and then close the project down for winter, construction will resume again in the spring.
We had a fabulous Seniors breakfast at Shephard’s Landing on August 25th, our highest turnout (over 250!) to date. Thanks to all our seniors, volunteers and sponsors who make this event happen. We hope to increase our Senior Programs in the future and are in need of additional volunteers to coordinate and support them.
