NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION 2023

HIGHLAND FIRE DISTRICT - NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION - December 12, 2023

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Highland Fire District of Highland, Ulster County, New York, will be held at the Fire District Headquarters, 25 Milton Avenue, Town of Lloyd, Highland, Ulster County, New York, for qualified voters only, and the polls of election will open on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 5:00 PM and close at 9:00 PM on that day.   

At said annual election, One (1) Fire District Commissioner for a term of five (5) years, commencing on the 1st day of January 2024, will be elected.    All voters of the Highland Fire District who are registered with the Ulster County Board of Elections, on or prior to November 20, 2023, shall be eligible to vote.

Candidates shall file their names with the Secretary of the Highland Fire District, at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of such Fire District Election, November 22, 2023, and such nomination shall be submitted in petition form subscribed by twenty-five (25), qualified voters of the Highland Fire District.    Petition forms are available, please call 845-691-2152.
